Posing is a psychological tool for a photographer to add sense to their photographs. Posing, just like facial expression, plays a big part in delivering the message of the photograph, because the position and relationship to the camera of a subject?s can give you some clue about the subject?s character.

The portrait photographer should be able to direct their model to pose. So, every photographer should have great knowledge of posing. Subjects rely on their photographer to provide them with direction about posing and expression. Photographers must learn about posing if they want to make good portraits. Usually photographers could learn this on the first place by trial-and-error. After taken someone?s picture, they could look at it and make own comment about the result, to enhance them.
